“Well I must say, when you took me around that pond, the view did move smoothly and gracefully”, complimented the littlest rabbit.

“Why thank you”, said the swan, “it might look ssmooth and graceful on top of the water, but underneath it is a much different sstory. My feet have to thrassh and ssplassh to keep me moving my own way rather than the river'ss way, whereass if I'm flying, my wingss flap quite ssmootly and the windss thrassh and sswassh underneath me. But when I walk, I waddle”.

“How smoothly do you take to the air so?” asked the littlest rabbit as he had never before this day seen a swan much less one fly.

“Thatss a very cumberssome tassk altogether. When I'm in the water, it is much harder to do than when on land but once I'm moving fast enough, all I have to do is lift up my feet, and I'm flying. Sso when I'm taking off from the water I have to battle with the river and the air, but when Im taking off from land, I only have to battle the air, if there iss nothing in the way of coursse”, said the swan.

“Do you think you would be able to take off, fly and land with me on your back safely?', challenged the littlest rabbit.

“Well I have never tried ssuch a thing before, probably becausse I have never met an animal before who wass either sso brave or sso sstupid!” said the swan.

“Shall we have a vote?”, beemed the littlest rabbit.

“O.K. Ssilly little thing, I vote no”

“Well I vote yes and thats a bigger word, so therefore it is a bigger answer and neither of us can take the blame for following the bigger answer”, debated the littlest rabbit.
