“O.K. You win”, droned the swan, “hop on!”. With that the littlest rabbit bounced on to the back of the swan and lodged his front paws onto the underside of the swan's neck feathers. The swan tried to dissuade the littlest rabbit one more time before the two went thundering down the river bank. The littlest rabbit bounced violently but still managed to hold on tightly, and with a daring leap, the swan jumped into the air.

“YAHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!” screamed the littlest rabbit with blood racing through his whole everybit. They climbed higher into the sky to where the littlest rabbit could see high above the trees to all the life of all the forest and the meadow.

“Where will we go now?”, asked the white swan. “Well would you like to come to my house for tea?”, invited the littlest rabbit. The vote was carried. The two hovered around the meadow a bit until they saw where the rabbit house was. The swan came to nearby and landed, whereupon the littlest rabbit lost his grip and rolled on to the ground with a big bounce. “Ouch!”, he bellowed as he sat up and rubbed the sore bump on his rump.

“White rabbit came out from the hole to see what all the fuss was, and when he saw the littlest rabbit and the swan there giggling, he said, “I'm not going to bother asking what is going on, would you two care for some dinner?”
