Tree Topper Clive sat in the hole in the tree, which by the way had no leaves, for a very long time. . . and after another very long time, he came up with the idea of a Grimpalong for a name for his new home. The trouble was, he didn't know where he got the name Grimpalong as he had never heard anyone say Grimpalong before, but it sounded right. The amazing thing was, the more he thought it was a Grimpalong, the more comfortable and grimpy it felt.

It took exactly two bits of night time and two bits of dark time, for Clive to turn his newly discovered hole in a tree into a perfectly functional Grimpalong. As soon as this was done, he ran straight to his best friend's mushroom house to invite Pixie Pod to high nuts and muffin. It should be pointed out that the muffin originally came from Pod's house as Clive himself couldn't forsee a clever way to put a cooker in a tree. Clive knocked on Pod's door.

“Fancy popping over to my new Grimpalong?”, inquired Tree Topper Clive enthusiastically, “for some nuts and muffin, and tea, of course, if you have a tea bag that is!”. With that, the two set off to the new Grimpalong, bantering very happily as they went about this and that and of course, the other.

Sitting on a branch outside the front door of the Gloopalong, which also was part of the roof of the Gloopalong, the two sat. Pixie Pod with a mouthful of muffin on the nut sandwich said, “I wasn't exactly sure what you said a Gloopalong was, but I now think I understand what you meant”, and took a bite from the sandwich. Tree Topper Clive, who at the time was a very self satisfied little squirrel, decided not to take a bite of his sandwich and instead looked up into the sky with a smile that was a squirrel's face wide. Pod went on to say, “Gloopalong is a very good name indeed for a home”.
